Move Tracking uses notation that is similar to The Board Coordinate System to identify the Pieces and the Board Coordinate System to identify the spaces on the board to record game play.
Piece Identification System
Similar to the Board Coordinate System, the Piece Identification System has three parts:
- Color identifies the hextant that is the root of the piece.
- Flat Axis is identified by the name of the Base Line Piece in the axis.
- Piece Name (the Piece Name may be ignored if the piece is the Base Line Piece).
The three parts are separated by periods. The colors and piece names may be abbreviated. So, Silver.Sovereign's Archer's.Militant can also be written as S.SAr.M.
