Move Tracking uses notation that is similar to The Board Coordinate System to identify the Pieces and the Board Coordinate System to identify the spaces on the board to record game play.
Similar to the Board Coordinate System, the Piece Identification System has three parts:
Notation structure: Color . Base Line Piece . Piece Name There is special notation for the two combination moves (see Seeking Sanctuary). The restrictions of these moves make Color and Space unnecessary.
Promotion Piece Identification For promoted pieces beyond the basic piece allocation the following notation is used: Color . Base Line Piece [ Promotion Character (1 to 9, A to Z) ] For example: If the promotion is to the Red.Regent and the base Red.Regent is still on the board the notation would be Red.Regent[1] or R.R[1] Notation is not reused if the promoted piece is captured
